About this blog

The idea for a blog came to me when after talking to several people and explaining to them more less complicated challenges that come with a quality driven and professional approach to using generative AI to actually get value out of the necessary invest taken.

I was scared at first thinking of the amount of time and energy such a blog might draw from me to regularly fill it with meaningful information. At some point, I just decided to just start with something and see where it takes me. You might see some rough edges of the visual representation and the content of this blog that comes with this approach of rather starting with something unfinished instead of investing, a lot of time and energy upfront to already get it right from the start.

Who am I?

Hi, I am Christian, a seasoned software developer from Austria.

As a software developer with a passion for creating appropriate solutions, I currently have a strong interest in AI and general software development challenges.

Since around May 2023, I have made it a personal goal to learn more about Generative AI and its strengths and weaknesses. There was a lot of experimenting with different tools and frameworks around that time, and I stumbled upon some interesting findings around the whole domain. Soon I realized that there was way more to it than just the LLM-Model itself, and that the real challenge is to build systems a human can trust in.

Open Source Software

Open source software is highly valued, with efforts made to contribute to open source projects whenever possible.

I am happy to say that I already contributed back to the community by making minor adaptations mostly to LLM-Response-Parsing to help make LlamaIndex and LangChain more resilient to responses from locally running open source models.
